Change Environment/Share Settings

The ADDAutomated Digital Discovery Application Environment for Integration Service is defined during ADD installation. It enables communication between Media ManagerA component of the ADD workflow provides a solution for efficient, secure media management., copy stations, and ADD applications. It is also used for Self-ServiceA component of the ADD Streaming workflow, provides a simple and easy-to-use solution to upload your own data for processing and review. Uploads to be processed into review.

The Self-Service UploadUpload means to transmit data from a computer or other source into ADD. Network Share Location must be defined for groups who are assigned the System permission Upload Self-Service and who will be uploading files for later processing (process into review is not available unless the Case permission “Self-Service Upload & Process” is set). This is the network location to which the files will be copied.

To make changes to either or both of these settings:

  1. Choose System from the ADD main menu.
  2. In the left pane of the System page, click ADD Settings. Complete step 3 and/or 4 as required.
  3. To change the Application Environment for Integration Service:
  4. Click and select the needed ADD Processing environment. Check with your administrator if you are not sure of the environment to select.
  5. Click the corresponding Save button.
  6. To define or change the Self-Service Upload Network Share Location:  
    1. Enter a new location or correct an existing entry. Use UNCThe Universal Naming Convention (UNC) is a way to identify a shared file in a computer without having to specify (or know) the storage device it is on. format (for example, \\server001\SelfService\FileUploads). Full access rights to this directory are required.
    2. Note: Clear this field by clicking in it and clicking X on the right side of the field.

    3. Click the corresponding Save button.
