Edit an Exhibit Label

You can edit an Exhibit Label in the following areas:

  • In Case Manager

  • In the Document Annotations Panel in EVIDENCE

Edit an Exhibit Label in Case Manager

In Case Manager, you can open a case and edit any exhibit label's information on the Exhibit Labels tab.

To edit an exhibit label:

  1. Open Case Manager.

  2. Double-click a case to open it.

  3. Select the Exhibit Labels tab.

  4. The Exhibit Label table appears. Select an exhibit label entry from the Exhibit Labels table.

  5. Click the Edit Label button.

  6. The Edit Label dialog box appears.

  7. Edit the information in the dialog box.

  8. Click Save.

  9. The dialog box closes and the information for the exhibit label is updated in the table.

Edit an Exhibit Label in Evidence

In EVIDENCE, you can edit exhibit labels to your case from the Annotations Panel in an open case.

To edit an exhibit label:

  1. To open the Annotations Panel, open a document and click the Annotations button in the ribbon bar above the open document.

  2. Click the Edit button in the Exhibit Labels section.

  3. Use the dropdown to chose the exhibit label to edit.

    The Edit Exhibit Label dialog box appears.

  4. Edit the information for the exhibit label in the dialog box.

  5. Click the Save & Close button.

    The dialog box closes, and the exhibit label is added to the case.

  6. Click the Apply button to add the new exhibit label to the document.

    Note: You must save changes once annotations and exhibit labels are created and/or applied. See Apply Annotations to a Document for more information on saving annotations.
