Deploying NetGovern Archive

Welcome to NetGovern!

This guide is intended for the NetGovern administrator for Microsoft Exchange. This guide walks you through the simplest way to deploy a a system. There is also contextual information about why you will make certain choices with the end result in view. Supplemental information is available in the NetGovern Archive Administration Guide.

Prerequisites

Before you can deploy NetGovern Archive, there are several requirements including the creation of various accounts and assigning the appropriate access to them. You must also have the servers for the archive and index servers provisioned and available before you begin deployment

Pre-Deployment Tasks

This section covers tasks that must be completed before deploying the NetGovern platform. The tasks are specific to Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.

Deploying NetGovern

This section covers bootstrapping and configuring the servers, as well as adding data disks. At this stage, you will confirm the number of archive and index nodes you will configure. Validation tasks consist of performing your first archiving job, among other verifications.

Deployment takes between 90 and 120 minutes if there are no interruptions, excluding virtual machine deployment.

IMPORTANT
The guide does not specificy how to deploy virtual machines. Instead, it directs you to outside help pages specific to the type of VM you are deploying.

This section covers secondary but equally important steps, such as white labeling, deploying Outlook Add-In, and configuring ports and certificates.
