Use Keyboard Shortcuts To Review Documents

Hotkeys, otherwise known as keyboard shortcuts, allow reviewers to quickly apply tags and navigate through documents when working in a batch. Hotkeys are a combination of keys which, when pressed simultaneously, perform a specific action associated with that shortcut. Enterprise comes with default hotkeys that provide users with a faster method for saving changes to a document, jumping to different tabs in the Document Viewer window, and moving between documents in a batch. Additionally, users can assign hotkeys to tags they've created to further streamline the process of reviewing documents.

Use Default Hotkeys

The hotkeys in the following table come with Enterprise by default and cannot be changed. When working in the Document Viewer window, you can apply these default hotkeys to quickly navigate through documents or to save any changes you have made to a record. In addition, you can access the list of hotkeys from the Document Viewer window at any time by clicking the icon in the top-right corner of the window.

The following hotkeys are available by default:

Shortcut

PgDn

PgUp

Alt + PgDn

Alt + PgUp

Ctrl + Enter

Ctrl + I

Ctrl + P

Alt + C

Use Tag Hotkeys

Administrators can assign hotkeys to individual tags. After a hotkey has been assigned, reviewers working in the Document Viewer window can quickly apply a tag to a document by means of pressing the keys associated with that shortcut. For example, if an administrator has assigned a hotkey of SHIFT + R to a tag marked "Responsive," a reviewer needs only to press their SHIFT and R keys simultaneously to apply that tag to the document.

You can access the list of hotkeys from the Document Viewer window at any time by selecting the icon in the top-right corner of the window.

Review Documents By Using Hotkeys

To review documents by using the hotkeys described in the previous sections, proceed with the following instructions:

  1. In Enterprise Review, click a case card.

  2. A list of review passes defined for the selected case displays beneath the case card. Select the desired review pass located on the right side of the funnel graph. The Review grid opens with the batch document set, pre-defined relationships, and the coding form/tag palette.

Note: When the review pass is accessed for the first time, the Document Viewer window opens automatically with the first document in the batch.

  3. If the Document Viewer window did not open automatically when you accessed the review pass, double-click a document in the grid to open it. Proceed with the following steps.

  4. Optional: If required, a different review pass may be selected from the Document Viewer window by means of the Review Pass drop-down menu. The Review Passes are in alphabetical order. See Move Between Review Passes/Batches for more information.

  5. With the Document Viewer window open, proceed to tag documents, save your changes, and navigate through the batch by using hotkeys as described above.
