Password Protected NSF Files
|
Note: This procedure is designed to work only with IBM Notes 9.0.1 FP10 Basic and eCapture 4.1.x and later. |
If you receive an NSF file that is password protected and includes an ID profile associated with it, do the following:
-
Create a folder and place the NSF and ID files in it. The discovery will be run on this folder.
-
Name the ID file the same as the NSF file (for example, ImportantMail.NSF and ImportantMail.ID).
-
Open a text editor such as Notepad and type the password at the top in the editing window. Do not include any other information in the file.
-
Save this as a TXT file in the new folder that was created in step 1.
-
Rename this TXT file with the same name as the NSF file and change the extension to PWD (for example, ImportantMail.PWD).
You should now have a new folder with the NSF, ID, and PWD files in it; no other files should be included. When you discover this folder, (Undefined variable: Primary.Ipro eCapture®) will open the NSF file and find that it is password protected. A pop-up dialog box displays noting that the NSF file is password protected, and the dialog box then prompts for the password. Give eCapture a few seconds to insert the password, then the box will close.
