Export a Case

Important: Import/Export should not be used to work offline on a Data Sync-enabled case. To work offline on a Data Sync-enabled case, bring the case data local and then sync up again when you connect to the network. For more information, see Overview: Data Sync.

In Case Manager, you can create a case and, later, archive the case using the Export Case option.

To export a case:

  1. Open Case Manager.

  2. Double-click on a case to open it.

  3. Click the Export Case button.

    The Export Case window appears.

  4. Click the Browse button and browse to the folder where you want the case exported. When finished, click OK.

    Important: Depending on the size of the case, the export process may take some time.

  5. Click Export.

Export Case Data

In Case Manager, you can export information about your cases by using the Exporting Case Data option. This option will export as a CSV file with the following information: 

  • Case Name

  • Case Guid

  • Data Path Location

  • Description

  • Case Number

  • Matter Number

  • Trial Date

To export case data, follow the steps below:

  1. Select a case from the Cases table on the EVIDENCE Start Page.

  2. Click the Export button.

    The Export Case Data dialog appears.

  3. If the correct directory location is not listed, click Browse to navigate to and select another location.

  4. Click Export.

    The case data will be exported as a CSV file to the location you selected.
